Kurt Bjorkman, MD is currently a fellow in pediatric cardiology at the University of Iowa. He previously earned his Medical Doctorate as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition with specializations in Health Promotion as well as Bioethics, Humanities, & Society at Michigan State University. He went on to complete his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Yale where he also earned additional training through the Young Physician Leadership Curriculum and the Yale Pediatrics Quality Improvement course. He has a passion for medical education, and has current research interests in screening for congenital heart disease with fetal echocardiography and novel techniques in echocardiography for diagnosis of congenital heart disease. Dr. Bjorkman is board certified in Pediatric Medicine.
