Dr. Tuncay Taskesen graduated from Ege University Medical School in Turkey in 2002. Following graduation, he worked as a primary care physician in a busy state owned hospital. He completed Cardiology residency training at Dicle University Medical Center in Turkey and soon after became a practicing general cardiologist. After moving to Seattle, WA in 2012, he had worked on cardiac imaging research projects at Harborview Medical Center/ UW.  Dr. Taskesen was accepted into the internal medicine residency program at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL in 2015. Following graduation in 2018, he joined the University of Iowa Hospitals as a cardiac hospitalist. He started his cardiology fellowship training at Mercyone/Iowa Heart Center in Des Moines in July 2019. He is first year fellow. His general interest in cardiology is interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, and cardiac imaging.
